At ETSG, quality inspection is done after each manufacturing
operation. At every stage in the manufacturing process, quality
checks are made and the results recorded. This permanent record
stays with the die every step of the way and confirms that the
die has been made precisely as specified.
The continued excellence of ETSG’s production procedures which
assure the world class quality of its dies, was acknowledged by
the fact ETSG was the first die maker in North America to receive
ISO 9002 registration. This status was achieved for the manufacturing
process and quality assurance management. This has since been
upgraded to ISO 9001 status, which includes our design processes.
The worldwide standard for product and process quality, ISO 9000
is adopted by some 130 countries which comprise the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO 9000 is best known in European countries who use the certification
as a means of identifying companies dedicated to providing a customer
with the best product and service possible. Done by ISO assessors,
the certification process is rigorous. Certification is an ongoing
process and ETSG will undergo regular internal and external audits.
On the initial die for a new profile, minor correction may sometimes
be made by the extruder. If these changes are accurately reported
to ETSG, fewer costly die trials will be necessary for replacement
dies. This saves both production time and materials.
The final stage of the manufacturing process is the polishing
and final inspection of the dies. After this the die is shipped
to the customer. |

ETSG Quality Policy
It is the policy of ETSG management to fully support and provide
the necessary resources for continual implementation
of the Quality Assurance System.
Management at all levels will participate in Quality Assurance
activities as incorporated into daily functional requirements.
No product will be shipped to the customer until its quality
and conformance to customer specification can be assured.
Management will assess the effectiveness of the Quality System
on a regular basis and direct internal efforts towards continual
improvement. |
