ETSG was founded in 1952 with the first extrusion division; Exco. ETSG has grown to include Exco USA and Alu’die and is now the largest producer of Extrusion Tooling in North America. It has three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Markham, Ontario Canada; Newmarket, Ontario, Canada; and one in Chesterfield, Michigan USA.

The goal of ETSG is to provide dies which will produce quality product with maximum speed and efficiency; dies which will profit the extruder.

ETSG dies are designed for ease of extrusion. Long operating life is an important profit-enhancing feature. ETSG pioneered computer assisted design and manufacturing in the extrusion die industry and remains at the forefront of technology in manufacturing its dies.

Active participation in industry associations such as AEC through technical seminars, workshops and lectures, has kept ETSG close to its roots. This also allows ETSG to share with extruders its knowledge of the latest technological developments and production techniques.

This has been the philosophy of ETSG since its inception nearly half a century ago. By never straying from this basic credo, ETSG has become North America’s largest supplier of extrusion dies, and a major force in the extrusion industry.

ETSG pioneered the concept of the die maker “partnering” with the extruder, the two working closely together to improve the extruder’s productivity, and his profit.

The continued excellence of ETSG’s production procedures, which assure the world class quality of its dies, was confirmed by the fact that ETSG was the first die maker in North America to receive ISO 9002 registration. This has since been upgraded to ISO 9001.
